What the code means
F10 means the oven is sensing temperatures higher than normal. Frigidaire calls the code Thermal Runaway, and describes it as a built-in safety alert that protects the appliance.
Frigidaire doesn't name a cause for standard ovens.
Before you start
- Turn the oven off and let it cool down before you use it again.
What the manufacturer says to check
Ranges and wall ovens
- Turn the oven off and let it cool down.
- Reset the power. Switch the oven's circuit breaker off, or unplug the oven, for up to thirty seconds, then restore the power. Frigidaire notes that switching a breaker resets everything else on that circuit too.
Stone-Baked Pizza ovens
- F10 can happen when the Pizza Shield is on the wrong rack. Check that the rack and the Pizza Shield are in rack position seven. Some models differ, so check your Use and Care Guide.
- Reset the power, then restart the pizza preheat.
Stop and call for service
Stop and call for service if any of these happen.
- The code comes back after the oven has cooled and been reset. If the oven was installed in the past thirty days, Frigidaire says to contact the installer first. After that, contact Frigidaire to schedule service.
