What the code means
Samsung says this heating error means the dryer is getting too hot. In some cases it can instead mean the heater isn't hot enough. On an electric dryer, low voltage can cause that.
Samsung says the most common cause is a clogged lint screen or vent trapping the heat.
Before you start
- Unplug the dryer before you clean the lint screen or the vent.
What the manufacturer says to check
- Clean the lint screen.
- Clean the vent system.
- Reset the dryer. Turn off its power for two to three minutes, turn it back on and restart the cycle.
- Check your home's circuit breakers, and reset any that have tripped.
Stop and call for service
Stop and call for service if any of these happen.
- The error keeps showing after the lint screen and vent are clean. Samsung says to request service.
- You think an electric dryer isn't getting the right voltage. Samsung says to have an electrician check the voltage supply.
- The heating element wiring needs checking. Samsung's Australia page says that takes a licensed electrician.
